Vertical City claims its elevator advertising network has reached 10,000 screens across Canada and the U.S.; the company expects to be the largest elevator screen network in North America by early 2027, according to a press release.
Vertical City claims its elevator advertising network has reached 10,000 screens across Canada and the U.S., a figure Digital Signage Today carried without independent confirmation. The company also said it expects to become the largest elevator screen network in North America by early 2027, a forecast it presented as its own projection.
Vertical City describes itself as partnering with elevator manufacturers to supply software for screens installed as part of their elevator systems. According to the company, that software supports emergency communication, floor information, building messaging and other content, and gives properties a direct channel to tenants, residents and visitors while adding digital out-of-home inventory. Those descriptions are the company's own account of its product and partner relationships.
"Once screens became part of the elevator itself, the model changed," Fouad El-Masri, CEO and co-founder of Vertical City, said in the release. "Integration into that infrastructure changes the economics and the speed at which a media network can grow."
El-Masri's name, title and comment appear in Vertical City's announcement. The company says it provides the software layer that powers that experience across a growing number of screens.
The 10,000-screen figure, the manufacturer partnerships and the software's listed capabilities were not corroborated by independent reporting. No date for the milestone was stated.
