Álvaro Morales Joins ZetaDisplay (Iberia)

ZetaDisplay has appointed former Scala executive Álvaro Morales as country manager for Spain and Portugal to lead business development in Iberia, as DailyDOOH reported.
Álvaro Morales has joined ZetaDisplay as country manager for Spain and Portugal, DailyDOOH reported. According to the report, Morales is a former Scala Inc. executive and will lead business development across both markets, drawing on experience in the digital signage industry and relationships with retailers and brands in the region.
The appointment comes as ZetaDisplay pursues commercial discussions and opportunities in Iberia, the report said. Morales’s role is focused on developing the company’s business in Spain and Portugal as it expands its digital signage and retail media activities there.
Daniel Nergård, chief executive of ZetaDisplay, told DailyDOOH that Iberia is an important market for the company and part of its European growth plans. He said digital signage is established in the region and that retailers are looking at in-store retail media opportunities. Nergård added that Morales brings local market knowledge and industry relationships to support partnerships with retailers and brands in Spain and Portugal.
DailyDOOH also reported that the Iberia expansion follows investment in ZetaDisplay’s retail media capabilities, including the acquisition of retailmediatools, which the outlet said took place earlier this year. No further details about the timing or terms of that acquisition were provided in the report.
The move places Morales in charge of ZetaDisplay’s efforts in Spain and Portugal at a time when the company is seeking to build its presence in the two markets through local leadership and business development.
