New @Barco Experience Center in Bengaluru

Barco Control Rooms opened a second Indian Experience Center in Bengaluru for government technology firms, GCCs, IT services, semiconductor and aerospace organizations, and private enterprise NOCs/SOCs across South India to test control room technology, with updates on its Make in India portfolio, certifications, and engineering recruitment.
Barco Control Rooms has opened a new Experience Center in Bengaluru, its second in India after Noida, according to a DailyDOOH post based on a company announcement. For a small business evaluating any display or signage investment, the lesson is to ask vendors about the full lifecycle — installation, support, and whether older equipment can be upgraded rather than replaced — and to verify certifications such as ISO 27001 or local VAPT claims independently rather than relying on marketing copy. The center is intended to let government technology firms, Global Capability Centers, IT services companies, semiconductor and aerospace organizations, and private enterprise network and security operations centers across South India see, test and experience control room technology firsthand. Barco describes the opening as the latest step in its long-term commitment to India.
What the Bengaluru center offers
The Bengaluru Experience Center brings together several fully equipped spaces and a range of visualization and collaboration technologies under one roof. Customers can do much more than look at a product sheet: they can test complete workflows, compare display technologies and design a control room that fits their mission. The company says the center was built so that buyers can experience next-generation control room technology firsthand rather than relying on specifications alone.
For many years, Barco's rear-projection cubes have been at the heart of mission-critical control rooms across India, and the company says it remains fully committed to supporting and upgrading existing installations. At the same time, Barco says the market is moving to active LED platforms, especially chip-on-board (COB) technology, and to bezel-less LCD video walls, which take up less floor space, are easier to install and offer wide viewing angles. Barco says it supports customers across the complete journey: optimizing rear-projection cubes where they continue to serve, while providing a clear path toward LCD and LED when the time is right, with specialists helping customers decide when and how to make that move based on operational requirements.
Barco's India strategy and certifications
Noida continues to be a key hub for Barco in India, home to the company's Experience Center, R&D, sales and customer support teams, giving Indian customers access to both local expertise and Barco's global experience. Barco says it keeps investing in solutions developed for Indian customers, and that its operations in India are in scope of Barco's ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 certificates. The company also says Barco CTRL carries VAPT certification from CERT-In empanelled agencies; CERT-In is India's national cybersecurity agency. The claims in Barco's announcement, including product lists and certifications, are company statements that have not been independently corroborated by the available sources.
Barco's Make in India portfolio includes Barco UniSee 500+, Barco CTRL and the IBX-I LED platform. Combined with Infinipix, IBX-I helps Barco secure the complete visualization ecosystem, from source to pixel. "Our customers in India expect technology that is secure, locally supported and ready for the domestic market," says Sanjay Katyal, Sales Team Manager India at Barco. "With two Experience Centers, a Make in India portfolio and certified security, we can give them exactly that. And our teams in Noida and Bengaluru stay close to every project."
Engineering talent and recruitment
Every year, more than 1.5 million students take JEE Main, India's main engineering entrance exam, one of the most competitive in the world. Barco competes for the very best candidates through its Campus Recruitment program, launched in 2021, which recruits exclusively computer science graduates from the top 1% of candidates, from institutes such as IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU and DTU. Barco says another large group joined its R&D center in Noida to work on next-generation technologies, and that the program anchors its innovation in India year after year.
"India is one of the most dynamic control room markets in the world, and we are very proud of our presence here," says Tom Sys, EVP Barco Control Rooms. "Opening a second Experience Center, growing our Make in India portfolio and investing in local engineering talent all point in the same direction: our long-term commitment to India, together with our Indian customers and partners." The company says India remains a strategic growth market, supported by investments in software innovation, expanded sales coverage and stronger customer engagement, with a focus on delivering next-generation visualization and decision-support solutions for mission-critical environments.
