International Distribution: One Equity Partners Acquires Nexora

One Equity Partners acquires ProAV distributor Nexora, including Almo Pro AV and Comm-Tec, ending its time under DCC; management remains unchanged, and shared ownership with the Kinly integrator raises synergy questions.
According to invidis, One Equity Partners (OEP) has acquired ProAV distribution group Nexora, whose brands include Almo Pro AV and Comm-Tec. The sale ends Nexora's time under DCC, which has been refocusing on its energy business and had already signalled an intention to divest the technology division when it rebranded DCC Technology as Nexora last year.
The company said management will remain unchanged under the new owner. CEO Clive Fitzharris said the deal opens a new phase for Nexora, adding that OEP brings an owner aligned with the distributor's plans for its next stage of growth.
OEP, formerly part of J.P. Morgan, specialises in technology and B2B investments across North America and Western Europe, geographies that overlap closely with Nexora's core markets. Nexora has indicated it will continue to pursue growth through acquisitions.
The transaction also places Nexora under the same ownership as Kinly, the global IT and ProAV integrator formed through the merger of Yorktel and Kinly. Invidis framed it as an open question whether a distributor and an integrator of that scale sharing an owner would produce operational synergies or lead to further consolidation.
