JCDecaux has strengthened its team across the South Island and Wellington with two key appointments, supporting airport partners and agency clients outside Auckland, DailyDOOH reported. Phil Eastwood, executive general manager of JCDecaux New Zealand, said airport audiences are growing and advertisers are looking for partners who understand how to make the most of these environments. He said Kimberly Rennie's promotion and Racheal Holmes's appointment enhance JCDecaux's capability across both the South Island and Wellington, ensuring the company can support airport partners and deliver high-quality, commercially effective solutions for brands.
Kimberly Rennie has been promoted to the newly created role of Airport Business Development Manager, based in Christchurch. The appointment expands JCDecaux's airport focus and supports continued growth across Christchurch and Queenstown Airports. Rennie will work closely with Auckland-based Airport Business Development Manager Jethro Gardiner, ensuring dedicated airport expertise across both the North and South Islands. She leads development across Christchurch and Queenstown Airports, shaping advertising opportunities that fit the terminal environment and deliver strong outcomes for airport partners and advertisers. Her deep understanding of airport environments, strong commercial acumen and proven track record supporting JCDecaux's South Island growth make her ideally placed to drive the next phase of development.
JCDecaux has also appointed Racheal Holmes as Account Director, based in Wellington. Holmes brings extensive Out-of-Home experience, having spent more than a decade with oOh! Media, where she established the Wellington office and built the local market from the ground up. She will lead JCDecaux's client engagement in Wellington and support Christchurch activity within her broader portfolio.
Airport audiences continue to climb, reinforcing airports as one of the strongest environments in Out-of-Home. In the year to June 2026, overseas visitor arrivals reached 3.67 million, up 299,000 year on year, while New Zealand-resident traveller arrivals hit a record 3.09 million, surpassing June 2019.
