USSI Global promotes Ted Korte to CTO and Amanda Flynn to COO while appointing Ed McGivern as CRO, with all three reporting to President and CEO Anthony Morelli.

USSI Global has announced three changes to its executive leadership, promoting Ted Korte to Chief Technology Officer and Amanda Flynn to Chief Operating Officer while naming Ed McGivern as Chief Revenue Officer. In the announcement, the Melbourne, Florida-based company — which provides engineering, installation, maintenance and managed services for digital signage, broadcast media and network infrastructure — says the moves are aimed at expanding its technical capabilities and developing new business across its markets. All three executives report to President and CEO Anthony Morelli.

Korte, who joined USSI Global in 2021 and most recently served as Vice President of Engineering and Technology, takes on oversight of the engineering teams, evaluations of emerging technologies and solution development across the company's three business units. The company credits him with helping establish its Media Transport Solutions Lab, where broadcasters can evaluate satellite, terrestrial IP, cloud and other distribution technologies before deploying them. His remit now also covers digital signage, retail technology and electronics repair, and the company says its engineering teams are exploring opportunities around audience analytics, IoT sensors and point-of-sale systems. "Ted has played an instrumental role in transforming how USSI Global approaches technology, engineering and customer engagement," Morelli said. Before joining USSI Global, Korte held engineering leadership posts at Harris Corporation, Qligent and L3Harris.

Flynn, an 18-year veteran of the company, moves into the COO seat after serving as CRO since March 2024. A 2008 joiner, she has worked across business development, customer relations, sales and revenue operations, and says her focus will be on expanding service offerings, improving operational processes and aligning the company's capabilities with customer requirements. "My experience working closely with customers has taught me that the best opportunities come from understanding their challenges and finding creative ways to solve them," she said.

McGivern was appointed CRO on October 8 and takes charge of go-to-market strategy, customer acquisition and revenue expansion. According to the company, he brings more than 25 years of executive experience at Harris Broadcast/Imagine Communications, Grass Valley/Snell Advanced Media and Tektronix, and most recently established Appear's North American operation in 2022, which it says grew past US$45 million in annual revenue. His stated priorities include expanding managed services and pursuing government, sports and live events work alongside the company's broadcast and digital signage businesses.

The company also links the reshuffle to its preparation for the next phase of the C-band spectrum transition, in which satellite communications frequencies are being shifted to clear room for expanded 5G wireless services, and says the appointments will support a shift from individual installation projects toward longer-term technical services and customer support relationships.
