The digital signage landscape is seeing dual moves toward deeper platform integration and consolidation this month, with Korbyt rolling out a native Canva connection and appointing a new marketing lead, while Zetadisplay strengthens its retail media footprint through the acquisition of German ad-tech provider Retailmediatools.

Korbyt has launched a native Canva application for its Anywhere platform that allows content creators to design graphics, animations, and multi-page assets inside Canva and push them directly into Korbyt Media Manager and playlists without switching tools. Chief product officer Travis Kemp said the integration removes friction from the content lifecycle while preserving the governance and security controls that enterprise customers require. A live virtual demo scheduled for July 23 at 1 p.m. ET will showcase the new integration alongside other platform additions including ScreenDetective and Launchpad 2.0.

The company has also brought on TJ Waldorf as senior vice president of marketing. Waldorf, who previously served as CMO at 1WorldSync where he helped triple annual recurring revenue and guided the company through its acquisition by Syndigo, brings more than two decades of SaaS go-to-market experience to the role. He noted that organizations increasingly demand intelligent workplace communication solutions that are easy to deploy and deliver measurable business value.

Korbyt's momentum is further reflected in several industry accolades. The company's 5CAI Agent Suite earned a rAVe Best of InfoComm Award for best digital signage CMS/platform, while CTI recognized Korbyt with its InfoComm Spotlight Award for continued innovation. The Korbyt Aries III fanless media player received a Digital Signage Best of Show Award for enterprise-ready performance, and PSNI designated Korbyt as a Global Preferred Vendor for partner support. CEO Andrew Robson said the milestones underscore the company's focus on effective communication as it builds for its next phase of growth.

In a parallel development, Swedish systems integrator Zetadisplay has acquired Berlin-based Retailmediatools, a microservices-based SaaS platform purpose-built for retail media. The acquisition pairs Zetadisplay's infrastructure expertise — it manages over 125,000 displays primarily for retail customers — with Retailmediatools' ad-serving, campaign management, and first-party audience building capabilities. The combined stack serves hundreds of millions of ads monthly and creates a fully integrated, retailer-owned media ecosystem.

Retailmediatools, founded in 2021, counts German retailers Rossmann, Thalia, and Fressnapf among its clients alongside Finnish retail group SOK. The platform's API-first, cloud-native architecture allows retailers to deploy individual modules or a complete end-to-end solution without disrupting existing enterprise environments. It will continue operating under its own brand and serving clients across Europe and Latin America independently of Zetadisplay's digital signage customer base, ensuring continuity for current roadmap commitments.
